Few bands in the modern heavy landscape possess the ability to weave sonic tapestries as intricate and expansive as Elder. Today, the progressive psych-metal titans have officially unveiled the details for their highly anticipated new studio album, titled "Through Zero", scheduled for release on May 29, 2026, via Stickman Records and Blues Funeral Recordings.

Following the monumental success of 2022’s Innate Passage, Elder continues their journey into the unknown. "Through Zero" is described as a sonic exploration of the void, blending their signature heavy riffs with increasingly complex psychedelic soundscapes and krautrock-influenced rhythms. The title track, which dropped earlier today, is a sprawling 9-minute epic that showcases a band at the height of their creative powers.

A Journey Across the Continents

Accompanying the album announcement is the confirmation of a massive North American and European headlining tour throughout 2026. Elder has long been hailed as one of the most formidable live acts in the genre, and this tour promises to be their most ambitious production to date, featuring extended sets and immersive visual displays.

"We’ve spent the last two years dissecting our sound and pushing ourselves into territories we’ve never explored before," the band shared in an official statement. "Through Zero is about the beauty found in the empty spaces, and we can't wait to bring these new movements to the stage."

With pre-orders now live and a world tour on the horizon, 2026 is shaping up to be the year of Elder. For fans of progressive mastery and heavy psychedelia, the wait for Through Zero is almost over.
