Single Review: Battlefields - Dinnamarque

 

Guilherme Costa: Today we're going to review the song "Battlefields" from Dinnamarque! This song was released on their EP called Fight on 2006 and on their latest full album One Spirit of a Thousand Faces. The guitars has wonderful tones, really heavy indeed. And the guitarists Leo Lanny and Ronan Lopes proved that have also a good taste for guitar solos, with shreddings and whammy bar techniques. The vocalist and bassist Rafael Dinnamarque put some very nice vocal melodies, of course we don't have many high notes as usual on melodic heavy metal, and this is a good differential. And I would like to highlight the drummer Riccardo Linassi that besides of doing really great grooves on the drums, he was the composer of the lyrics! As I said before, the lyrics talks about the American Indian Wars, specially of the Battle of the Little Bighorn. And to finish, in my opinion, this is the best song from the album One Spirit of a Thousand Faces, and I recommend you all to listen to the whole album on YouTube!
